SMART Informatics for Sustainability Workshop

Summary

Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute (HAII) under Ministry of Science and Technology, Thailand organized workshop on “SMART Informatics for Sustainability” on 21 – 23 March 2018 as a part of Thailand’s ASEAN NEXT 2018 “Rising STI Networking for Innovative ASEAN” during 19 – 23 March 2018.

80 participants from ASEAN Member States, International Organizations, Academia, and Government Agencies have participated in the workshop which provided opportunities to exchange information to strengthen partnership to support ASEAN Hydroinformatics and Climate Data Center (AHC).

The Workshop represented an effort to promote informatics and technology implementation and application towards sustainability through presentations, demonstrations, and site visit to good practices community. Participants have learnt how Science and Technology can be implemented for sustainability from global and regional perspectives and also  technologies in operation from ASEAN Member States (AMS).

The outcome of this workshop will be reported to the SCMIT (Sub-committee on Microelectronics and Information Technology) meeting during May 2018 at Chiang Mai, Thailand.
